Drainage and grade, checked before turf
We grade to slope away from the house and check the low spots with water before anything green goes down. Permeable backing only matters if the base under it actually moves water.
Seams glued, stitched, and grain-matched
Every roll runs the same direction so the color matches in sunlight. Seams get tape and adhesive, then get nailed off. A visible seam is the fastest way to tell a rushed install.
Infill and edging done to spec
Infill goes in at the right rate and gets broomed in so blades stand up and stay up. Perimeters get bender board or nailed edging every few inches so dogs and hoses cannot lift an edge.

How your turf installation actually goes
